rhys-davies-kings-speechThis weekend sees Chris Jones deliver his yearly Guerilla Film Maker Masterclass at Regent College, London. Last year saw Hive Films invited to talk about the success of ‘Zombie Undead’ … alongside the team behind Oscar winning The Kings Speech, a fantastic event which was sold out with 350 people attending .

I spoke on the opening night of the event about the experience of making ‘Zombie Undead’, Hive Films first feature film, which we sold to Metrodome in the UK. Since then ‘Zombie Undead’ has travelled the festival circuit and is released internationally in more and more territories. You can see the interview with myself here. My interview was followed by Oscar winning producer and director of The Kings Speech, Gareth Unwin and David Seidler. Both spoke eloquently and enthusiastically about film and how The Kings Speech got made. Gareth explained the leap he made from the comparative low budget film ‘Exam’ to a multimillion pound feature like The Kings Speech. As Chris Jones said – What a killer double bill of British cinema it made!

Tickets are nearly sold out so if you want to go be quick and sign up here.

buesnos-airesZombie Undead has been selected for repeat screenings at the Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre festival. This is a distinction for Zombie Undead as the Rojo Sangre is the only specialized and bizarre fantasy film festival held in Argentina. Furthermore Zombie Undead, alongside Attack The Block, is one of only a handful of foreign films in selection at the festival. Established in December 2000 the festival was recently declared of Cultural Interest by the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires. It festival presents films in fantastic, bizarre, science fiction and horror genres.
